Connecting with Friends - Lunch Club
We are proud to say that our weekly lunch club is one of the best in Torfaen even being awarded a 5 (very good) in food hygiene rating! Serving approximately 60 elderly people each week with a delicious and home cooked three course meal. The lunch club continues to go from strength to those in need.
This project provides a great opportunity for local older people to socialise, reminisce and enjoy the good food in a welcoming atmosphere. Seasonal events such as Christmas parties, Easter bonnet parades and regular old fashioned ‘sing songs’ are also greatly appreciated by all involved.This project is very dependent on the dedication and hard work of our volunteers who help with food preparation and serving and it is safe to say that the lunch club is one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the Abersychan Ward.
The Lunch Club takes place every Tuesday at 12 noon from the Garndiffaith Millennium Hall, serving you a delicious
3 course meal all for £7.00 per person.
Entertainment by the form of a local singer takes places once a month.
